| About the Pan-Pacific Surgical
Association
Mission
The Pan-Pacific Surgical Association (PPSA) was founded in Honolulu, Hawaii, in
1929 to encourage the exchange of medical and surgical knowledge and to foster
fellowship and understanding among surgeons of different specialties as well as
medical practitioners and allied healthcare professionals.
Capitalizing on Hawaii's unique position in the Pacific, the mission of the Pan-Pacific
Surgical Association is to serve as a hub that connects surgeons bordering the
Pacific. The group also conducts medical missions in the Pacific through its volunteer
surgeon program.
